Annual General Piss-Up held on Friday, 5th
June 2020 via ZOOM. Minutes

Massive, the current Grand Master, opened the formal meeting by welcoming those above. A particular welcome was extended to the legendary Bristol hasher, former GM and instigator of the annual Haggis Hash, Gordon Stuart/Drambo/Boghopper, Zooming all the way from Mexico City.
Apologies for absence had been received from Puki, but Soprano said that she thought he was actually just upstairs and may join later for the Hash Pension update. Which he did.
Minutes of the last meeting.Lunchi declared that the minutes of the last meeting held on 6th April 2019 at the Greenbank Tavern were a work of pure fiction. Wolfie thanked him for his kind words and the minutes were approved unanimously.
Matters Arising from the minutes. There were none.
Outgoing officers' reports.
Grand Master. Massive said that, once again, his firm disciplinary policy had paid off until the arrival of the virus.
Hash Cash (including Bristol and Allied Hashers' Pension Scheme, BAHPS, report). Sleepy distributed a statement of finances to the end of 2019, (see below). Following a brief discussion, the financial statement was accepted by a narrow, typically-disgruntled, majority.
Puki enquired about the current state of the Bristol and Allied Hashes Pension Scheme (BAHPS). Sleepy reported that, following further "careful management", it was proposed to maintain the qualifying pension age at 97 for the financial period 2020/21, on condition that beneficiaries were still running at least 25 hashes per year. Some nifty use of the "mute" facility by Soprano, prevented broadcast of further remarks by Puki.
Stats. Wolfie reported that the average number of hashers per week had been 21, the same as the previous year. He added that the highest number of runners was 32 on both run 1872, 6th January, from The Lamb, Iron Acton, hare Lunchi, and run 1878, 17th February, from The Old Crown, Kelston<, hare Duracell. The fewest number of runners (8) was run 1890, 12th May, from The Crown at West Harptree. Hares: Rentahash and Hot Fuzz.
Wolfie reminded the meeting that extensive reports could be found on the website.
Hare Raiser:No Shirt said that the year had run like clockwork.
Social Committee:Lunchi reported on a generally successful year, with usual events including Hotwells 20, Bike Ride, Curry, etc.

Resignation of Officers.
In accordance with Hash AGPU rules, the officers present resigned en masse.

Down-downs were downed-downed virtually by the incoming officials.
Covid-19 discussion. Various ideas about how hashing could continue were mooted. Some proposed a form of virtual get-together, others suggested the possibility of laying a trail which could be followed individually, or in twos and threes, during the following few days. It was agreed that, whaterver was decided would have to be flexible enough to cope with changes in government policy.
Renewal of Public Liability Insurance.Wolfie reoprted that PLI has been discontinued until normal activities are resumed.
Proposals for Bristol Hash Charity 2020-21. It was decided to maintain support for the previous year's charity, Street Life, Bristol.
The Future of the Annual Hash Auction.Soprano said that she felt that the auction had become a little stale and formulaic. Some new ideas were needed to inject a new lease into what had been a very successful part of Bristol Hash's annual round. It was mentioned that the covid restrictions would probably mean that the auction would not take place this year anyway, but that this would give people time to come up with new ideas for the future.
T-shirt policy.Wolfie has intended to discuss a standard T-shirt design and policy. Currently T-shirts are only issued for specific events or achievements, but he felt that it would be useful to have a small supply of shirts for hashers to buy, or which could be exchanged with other visiting hashers, etc. In the light of the present pandemic it was decided that a face mask or bandanna might be more appropriate for this year. Fruitcake (Hash Haberdaher) said she would investigate possibilities.
Awards policy. It was decided to postpone this until next year.
Grande Bru Beer Scandal. It was decided to postpone this until next year.
Any Other Business.
Wolfie said that 2020 would be remembered as the year that a great hasher, Toreador, died. He had hashed regularly with Bristol and, more latterly, Kennet and Avon H3. He was a career Yorkshireman, had a great, but gentle, sense of humour and loved his dogs and hashing. He will be missed by all.
