FIRST PUBLIC ENEMA MEMORIAL HASH

The Dave Iles Memorial Hash from Bath Ales Brewery, helps to raise over £1,000.00.

At the end of 2001 we lost one of our most popular members, Dave "Public Enema" Iles, due to cancer.

In addition to a collection at the time in lieu of flowers, which raised £600.00, there have been a number of events since, the first of which was a memorial run, held on Dave's birthday, in June, from the Bath Ales Brewery. Dave's family were kind enough to support the event, which raised a further £590.00.

In September 2002 a Mystery Run to Oxford included an auction, which raised £208.00, and a further £246.00 was raised by Claire "Iron Maiden" Kelly when she ran the London Marathon in 3 hours 49 minutes, a personal best.

The total of £1,044.00 has been sent to the Friends of Bristol Oncology Centre, to go towards the cost of a digital X-ray machine. Well done to everyone who helped.
